Ore-Ida Totchos

#OreIdaTotchos #contest I recently got the opportunity to participate in the Influenster #VoxBox in which one of the items I recieved was a coupon for a free bag of OreIda Tater tots. With these tater tots I took the #OreIdaTotchos challenge to come up with a yummy way of using these Delicious Golden brown potato creation. Seeing how My family absolutely loves anything to do with pizza, I decided that PizzaTot Casserole would be a great Idea. So first thing I did was I deep fried the whole bag of tater tots, granted you could just put these into a casserole dish and top them how you like, but we love our tots crispy and I figured if we are making a pizza casserole out of them then deep frying them would be the best way to go. While I was Deep frying my tots, I also fried up some Pork sausage and ground beef, 1lb of each. I added in some diced onion, green peppers, and leeks. I let those saute in with the sausage and beef until tender. Then drained the oil from this mixer and returned to the pot I was using. After which I added in mushrooms and pizza sauce and let that heat up. After the sauce mixture was finished and the tots was done, I then put the tots in the bottom of my casserole dish. I proceeded to top the tots with the sauce mixture. After that came cheese, then pepperoni (something I can not leave out of any pizza dish) and some black olives. I placed the casserole dish into my oven on 425 degrees and baked it until the cheese was melted and bubbling, approximately 10 mins. When this was finished it was a hit with my family. They loved it! We have since made taco tots and pulled pork tots, Yummy. The pizzatots are their favorite though! I am including my recipe however I am not a chef nor do I usually write out my recipes so I will just do my best. Recipe 1 bag of OreIda Tatertots 1 lbs pork sausage 1 lb ground beef 24 oz pizza Sauce ( I used Ragu) 1 lb Mozzerlla cheese (or cheese of your choice) all your favorite pizza toppings Deep fry tots if preferred or layer them into bottom of casserole dish frozen Fry sausage and ground beef Add in any veggies that you want sauteed Drain grease Add in pizza sauce, heat Add all topping on top of your tots on desired order place in to 425 degree oven, bake 10-15 minutes until heated all the way through and cheese is melted. Remove from oven and enjoy with your family!
